Creating a Culture of Collaboration between Nursing and Support Services in the Clinical Setting
Over the past three years, the American Organization of Nurse Executives and ARAMARK
Healthcare have built a partnership based on mutual interest in improving the hospital work and
care-giving environment. By focusing on the critical inter-relationships between nursing and
support services, our goal is to create a collaborative hospital work environment that improves
satisfaction of nurses and support service employees, enhances processes in the delivery of care
and service, and provides the best hospital experience for patients and families.
In 2008, more than 7,400 nurses across North America participated in a jointly developed survey
known as Nursing Satisfaction with Support Services (NS3). The survey results are highlighted in a new white paper – Creating a Culture of Collaboration between Nursing and Support Services in the Clinical Setting
